Toddler Aikido Class


When you have a pre-schooler in the house you soon learn that they are an energetic dynamo, always on the move and curious about everything. You want to encourage them to be active but there are few programs available to pre-schoolers that are more than supervised play-time.

But what if there was a program for your young "tot", one that not only kept them active but also taught them Life Skills, like:

  • Following instructions
  • Listening and concentrating
  • Self-discipline
  • Valuable street-proofing skills
  • Physical agility and coordination
  • Personal Safety Skills

Aikido Network has the perfect program in the study of mind/body movement development and balance for toddlers, together with their parent or guardian.


OBJECTIVE:

This program will pick up where your toddler leaves off after they learn to walk; to challenge and develop the movement of their body; to go beyond the developmental breakthroughs in walking, running, and jumping; to explore the beautiful movements of the Martial arts from Japan.

GOALS:

  • Study/Challenge/Develop Balance
  • Learn Safety Tumbling Skills
  • Learn Cooperation Skills, Listening Skills, and Following Directions Skills
  • Learn Contacting Others Softly and Gracefully (not hitting or pushing!)
  • Enjoy an active physical art with your toddler in a joyous environment!

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A parent or guardian can participate with their child
  • Age of child: 3 - 5 years old and able to walk freely

WHAT TO BRING:

  • Clean, Loose-fitting play clothes; a uniform may be purchased for $25

DETAILS:

  • Every Monday morning at 10 to 10:30am.
  • Cost is ONLY $39 per toddler/guardian pair /per month.
  • Course Registration is ONLY $29. Please bring two cheques upon registration
  • Pre-Authorized monthly debit required
